1970 Ford Mustang Grande - 0F04M189148
351 4V, Toploader, 3.50:1 Traction-Loc, D.S.O.96
Imported new to Australia in 1970.
I purchase my Mustang back in 1990 from our local wrecking yard for $8k
Aus (about $15k U.S.) the insurance company had written it off due to
a bad engine fire. The rebuild took around 10 months, I had the original
motor rebuilt (with some added horse power), rewired it myself from
the firewall forward , running all wires, relays, air horns etc under
the front fenders, battery is in the trunk. I had the seats reupholster
in the original black hound's-tooth, new carpet & hood lining, she
sits around about 3 inches lower than standard (i like them low). It had
just 26k miles on the clock when I purchased it back in 1990 it now has
47k miles. That sequels 21 thousand miles of FUN.
